Casual Chic: Comfy Winter Wear

I don't know about y'all but I am getting ready for some warmer weather! Winter to me means dressing in warm, comfy clothes, but I get sick of wearing the same style outfits on repeat.

This week I decided to switch it up. No leggings, no fuzzy boots. I was nervous I'd end up cold and cranky, but I've been loving the outfits I've been coming up with. Today was one of my favorites, high waisted jeans with an oversized sweater and my favorite sneakers.

I am SO happy that high waisted jeans are back in style. They are a lot more comfortable than lower rise jeans and I love the classic style they bring to my outfit. I picked up these Gloria Vanderbilt high-rise jeans at Kohls this past summer and they have become a wardrobe staple. I'm obsessed with the vintage wash and the fact that this material has some stretch (hello, comfort)!

Since it was a bit chilly today I paired my jeans with a thick, oversized sweater. I snagged this sweater from ASOS last season and it literally feels like wearing pajamas! The muted colors go with everything, and the white block detail on the back adds a little interest.

At the end of the day, I'm glad I branched out from my typical winter look. Although the forecast says shows snow, so I'll likely be breaking out the fuzzy boots at least a couple more times!
